How to collect the explorer (support data) at Solaris Server

Explorer is a tool in Solaris that can be use to analyze all problem at solaris. Enginner always check at this tool when they have a problem like hardware problem in server. And if you want to get solaris explorer data, just do below. 

Here’s how to collect the explorer (support data)

# /opt/SUNWexplo/bin/explorer -k

After the explorer is finished, you can collect it the file on

# cd  /opt/SUNWexplo/output

Please get the latest file based on the date

# ls –ltr


The file name should be like this

Example explorer.851802d6.server-name 05-2014.07.11.17.33.tar.gz

Then, download that file.
